The trust has been instrumental in building and contributing to the creation of numerous Jain Temples, Reconstruction of Old Jain temples, Upashrayas, Vihar Dham, etc in the last 35 years.
Apart from the service of the seven kshetras, one of the main objective of Pu. Acharya Hemchandrasurishwarji Maharaj was to protect the Jin Agamas which are the basis for the seven key areas of Jin Shasan. He started restoration of printed Agam Granthas and Scriptures since the year Samvat 2035. He believes that “If the jain temples become old, they will always be renovated by the famous Somapuras. But, if the ancient scriptures created by Pu. Acharya Kalikalsarvagnya Hemchandracharya, Pu. Upadhyay Shree Yashovijayaji are lost, then how will we bring such great scholars.”
- In the first phase, about 500 offset copies of 500 scriptures have been reprinted. This has been possible due to the generous cooperation of various Sanghs. These 500 scriptures have been gifted to Jain libraries all over India without any cost, thus enriching 500 libraries.
- There is another mission in progress in which the writers are writing the scriptures on hand-made papers wshich have a very long life. There are about 2000 scriptures which have been completed by this way.
- The work of writing scriptures on palm-leaves (tada-patra) from Sri Lanka using writers from Orrisa is in progress. 500 scriptures have been written on palm-leaves. The work is in progress in full swing.
- The work of publishing selected scriptures on special imported paper which will last hundreds of years is in progress. This special paper is such that it is not affected by humidity or water or insects. The printing is done with special ink which too will last for hundreds of years. There are about 150 scriptures printed on this special paper. 100 copies each of these scriptures have been gifted to main libraries of India. The work is in progress in full swing. Since, the paper and ink are very expensive, this work is extremely very costly. However, comparing the invaluable service of protection of invaluable scriptures of Jin Shasan, the amount of money is secondary. The faith and enormous efforts put in by Pujya Hemchandrasurishwarji at the age of 80 years is highly appreciable.
- It is important to protect our ancient hand written and palm-leaves scriptures. There are lacs of them outside India. The Government of India or Government organizations hold lacs of such scriptures. There are many scriptures located in Jain Sanghs and Organizations. Pujya Gurudev is determined to protect all these scriptures. A large number of scriptures are being scanned by a trusted and experienced team. This is resulting in protection of these scriptures.
All these efforts are being done with good use of crores of rupees. The Sanghs all over India are very well aware of this great and herculean task of Jin Shasan Aradhana Trust. Hence, we are receiving unimaginable financial support of all the Sanghs and this work is progressing uninterrupted.
